Beatie Wolfe wins “Golden Nica 2024”
Every year in September, Ars Electronica, the festival of digital art, takes place in Linz. The “Golden Nica” prize is also awarded each year to accompany the festival. The winners were announced at a press conference. In the “New Animation Art” category, conceptual artist and composer Beatie Wolfe won with her video installation “Smoke and Mirrors“.
Jedes Jahr im September findet in Linz die Ars Electronica statt, das Festival digitaler Kunst. Begleitend dazu wird jedes Jahr auch der „Golden Nica“ Preis ausgerufen. Auf einer Pressekonferenz wurden nun die Gewinner*innen bekannt gegeben. In der Kategorie „New Animation Art” gewann die Konzeptkünstlerin und Komponisten Beatie Wolfe mit ihrer Videoinstallation „Smoke and Mirrors“.
