AI against Hate Speech in Music
Part of freedom of expression is that you can write comments on social media that disagree with a post or video. That is perfectly fine. In recent years, however, there have been more and more people or trolls who deliberately want to hurt the feelings of authors with hate and insults. Politicians are particularly affected by this. Unfortunately, it has also become commonplace in the music industry for comments to appear under videos that are personally offensive to artists. The start-up “Penemue” has set itself the task of doing something about this.
Zur freien Meinungsäußerung gehört es, dass man in den sozialen Medien Kommentare schreiben kann, die nicht mit einem Post oder Video übereinstimmen. Das ist völlig in Ordnung. In den vergangenen Jahren tummeln sich dort aber immer mehr Menschen oder auch Trolle, die bewusst mit Hass und Beleidigungen die Gefühle von Autor*innen verletzen wollen. Politikerinnen und Politiker sind davon besonders betroffen. Auch in der Musikbranche ist es leider mittlerweile gang und gebe, dass unter Videos Kommentare erscheinen, die Künstler*innen persönlich angehen. Das Start Up „Penemue“ hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, etwas dagegen zu unternehmen. Wie genau das funktionieren soll, das hat Dennis Kastrup herausgefunden.
